Homemade Taco Seasoning

Hi friends, forget the salt-loaded taco seasoning in those little packets at the store. Make your own, not only will you save your body but also your money! I have been making my own taco seasoning for as long as I can remember and it is so easy and cheap! It only has a few ingredients and will make your taste buds scream with delight, I promise.

I use it for tacos, taco salad, grilling chicken or beef, in casseroles and dips. It really is versatile and can be used for a lot of yummy foods. Here it is:

Taco Seasoning

1/4 cup chili powder

1/4 cup cumin

2 TBSP garlic powder

2 TBSP onion powder

1 tsp salt

Mix together and store in an airtight container. For tacos add 2 TBSP per 1 pound of ground beef/chicken or shredded chicken/pork.

That’s it, super easy right? I keep this mixture in my spice drawer so I am always ready for that taco craving, which, according to my kids, happens a lot!

I prefer taco salad to tacos, how about you, which do you prefer?

Forever Grateful,

Kelly
