Hi again! Did you enjoy yesterday’s recipe? I am having so much fun baking and tasting all these yummy cookies for you all, pretty selfless on my part don’t you think? hehe
Any cookie list I make is not complete without this one, the favorite of everyone I have ever made it for. I get requests throughout the year but especially around Christmas! It isn’t complicated but involves a special ingredient that not everyone knows to put in a cookie and that is bread flour, it really takes the chewiness to a whole other level! Trust me! It will still taste fine with all-purpose flour but for once give it a try and taste the difference.
So Day two is, drumroll……
My Famous Chocolate Chip Cookie, here is a printable recipe for you!
Kelly's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies
2&1/4 cup bread flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup salted butter (2 sticks) softened
1 cup coconut or brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375*F.
In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt, set aside. In a stand mixer whip up the butter and sugar for approximately 3 minutes on medium. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix on med for 4 minutes until fluffy, very important step. Turn the mixer on stir or lowest setting and add flour in 1/4 cup at a time until all mixed in then add chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 9-12 minutes or until edges are slightly brown, don’t overbake as they will be dry. Let sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack. Enjoy!
